Hey, Sister Girrrlll. Welcome!
My name is Ciera Nichole, creator of CiGodInMe. God gave me this vision in the summer of 2018, that I would create a blog and social media account that would be a space for individuals to experience God in real life. As a college student that was living in sin, but still called by God; I struggled with my identity. In other words, I was trying to figure out how to do both. Serve and sin. If I’m being honest, (which I will be throughout this entire blog so, buckle up) I loved drinking, smoking, and sex. I also loved reading my Bible, leading Bible study, and telling others about the goodness of God. Now some of you may be wondering well what is wrong with that?
Being called comes with a cost.
Being called comes with a cost (I explain more in my Girl + World post). I knew this, but I constantly found myself running back to everything that was not good for me. Which in return, made me feel the exact opposite of what the promises of God told me that I am. So, who am I? If I believe in God, who He is, and what He says about me than why don’t I feel loved or forgiven. Needless to say, sis, I was going through it. But yet, God kept tugging on my heart to follow Him and lead others. At this point, I am questioning God as to why He would want a broken, inconsistent, failure to lead anybody. I did it anyway. On June 1st, 2018, I created an Instagram page where I would post devotionals, scriptures, and personal testimonies. As I mentioned, I am very inconsistent (pray for me girl, I am still working on it). So, this page started and stopped several times. Looking back now, I believe there were somethings I needed to go through that allowed me to experience God in an entirely new way. It sounds crazy, I know, but everything that has happened up unto this point was for my purpose.
CiGodInMe is for the girls and women who have struggled (or still struggle) with their identity, being in and of the world, and feel they are too far gone to be loved by God. Now, you may not think you struggle in any of those areas and that’s fine, this will still be for you! The goal of this blog is to bring an awareness to who God really is and in return you discover who you are in Him. If you didn’t know, God indeed dwells in you (1 John 4:13)! This is the purpose of CiGodInMe (see God in me). That when others see us, and even when we see ourselves, they (we) see the God in us.
It is my hope that through every post you will discover God in a new way that changes the perspective on how you view yourself and Him. This is a safe and judgement free space and I am so glad you’re here. Now let’s go Find God & Find You!!
