“Alexa, Play My Worship Music”

Ladies, I don’t know about you but my favorite part of a church service is worship. I would love it even more if I could actually sing (but trust me, I do not let that hold me back). Worship sets the atmosphere to allow the presence of God to enter. It is the time to wash off the week you have had, and prepare your mind and heart for what God wants to speak to you. Not only that, but it is a way to express your love for God and give Him thanks and praise for all that He has done, all He is doing, and all that He is about to do. Needless to say, I love worship.

I can’t always wait until Sunday to experience this, I need the presence of God, NOW. Oh, you thought you had to be in church for the presence of God to be present? No Ma’am, He is already living and dwelling in you. Our bodies were designed to bring him glory and worship whenever and wherever. Take time through out your day or your week to sit in the presence of God and give Him praise. Worship is your weapon, sis. The enemy trembles at the name of Jesus. Going through a breakup, just got laid off, received terrible news; the moment you begin to worship you are reminding yourself who is in control. It is not always easy to humble ourselves in those moments and lift our hands to God, but when you do the perspective of your situation will shift. Let your response to everything always be praise.

Now, I wouldn’t stress the importance of praise with out giving some resources. As I mentioned, I love worship!! I have many playlists, albums, and songs that have blessed me in many ways. Below I will be sharing some of my favorite worship songs, along with the artist and the album the song is from. The link to the song will be listed below, but I encourage you to download the albums as well for there are many other songs that I believe will also bless you.

These are just some of the songs that are personal favorites for me when it it comes to worship, there are several others (I will share a playlist link on my instagram), and if you have some personal favorites please share them in the comments! While these are more intimate worship songs. There are some with a little more energy, and sometimes that is needed when I am giving praise to God! Below I will make a list of just a few that I enjoy.

  • Feels Like Church x Peter CottonTale
  • Man of Your Word x Maverick City Music
  • My Blessings x Mali Music
  • Give Me x Kirk Franklin

(If you have any other christian/gospel music that you love please do not hesitate to share!)

I hope that you can be encouraged to give praise to God, today and everyday. However that looks for you (you are not just limited to music). May you continue to give Him glory in all that you do! When the enemy is trying you, worship. Your kids driving you crazy, worship. Your man making you mad? worship. You will win with worship.

But an hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in Spirit and in truth. Yes, the Father wants such people to worship Him.

John 4:23
